Summer Time!!!

So today was an awesome day! It started out kinda poopy because of a migraine but once it was gone, the day got started. Made a great dinner out on the grill with cauliflower and shredded BBQ chicken sandwiches. I broke open my bottle of McCormick Grill Mates Brown Sugar Bourbon early for the shredded chicken and it was delicious! Guess I better go buy another bottle before the party. :/ The only issue with dinner was the pretzel burger buns I bought a couple days ago. They looked so good but once we got them out and put our sandwiches together we realized there was mold all over the buns. Are you kidding me? We only had them a couple days! We bought them from Whole Foods in Ann Arbor and I was looking forward to testing them out. What a waste of $4.00! I emailed the company that makes them (Pretzilla) know how disappointed we were.
So anyway, after dinner we loaded up Xylah, Guyol (Ed's nephew), and Cisco and headed for the park. It was the first time Cisco had been out on a leash in the real world. He surprisingly did great! He didn't really harass anyone or any dogs and everyone just gushed over him. I was kind of surprised by all the attention he got for being a Pit Bull in a little ritzy town. We took him and the kiddo's over to the park after our walk and they had a blast. The park in Whitehouse has a little toddler part that is completely fenced in, which is awesome! Ed, Xylah, and Cisco had a ball going down the slides together. Every time Ed went down the slide, Cisco had to follow.

What a silly family we are! After the park we went to General's ice cream (the BEST soft serve in the area, by far) which is conveniently right next door. Cisco had his first doggie sundae for being so good, and of course he loved it! Next we just took a little stroll through Whitehouse to walk off our ice cream then headed back for home. We really had a blast today! I just wish the rest of the weekend's weather would be a nice as today but the next two days calls for 95-105 degree weather. YUCK! You won't catch my fatty a** outside until the sun starts to go down. Maybe I'll put Xylah's pool up in a shady spot and let her have a little fun before mommy sweats away to a pile of grease.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend! Don't forget to say Thanks to all the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for us to have our freedom! :)

Life has been anything but normal lately, in fact it's been nothing short of hectic! I went back to work in the service industry, my daughter turned 2 years old (help me), I got an amazing new job (big girl panties are on now!), turned 30 years old, my grandfather (the man who raised me and who is my best friend) was diagnosed with Cancer, we almost lost one of our dogs to a deadly infection (I'll explain that later), and my fiance' and I are finally going to take the plunge and get married! Holy crap, reading all that back just made me tired! Herbal Essence Naked Volume Collection

**I received this item for the purpose of a review. I was in no way compensated for my opinion as they are my own. Your opinion may vary from mine.** Herbal Essence has a new collection out called the Naked Collection Volume. Obviously I was intrigued by this because naked to me means no crazy chemicals and my hair loves products like those. I used to have very thick and healthy hair but it has thinned out dramatically since I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease over 5 years ago. Nowadays, my hair is very picky about the products I use. I wouldn't say it's damaged, it actually looks and feels pretty healthy, but it goes flat and becomes greasy quick because of how thin it is. Because of the autoimmune disease I have, I like to watch what kind of chemicals my body comes in contact with. Anything is mess up the balance in a compromised immune system. Needless to say, I was excited to learn more about the Naked Volume Collection by Herbal Essence.  The naked Naked
