Give the Gift of Wine From Tasting Room!

Looking for the perfect gift this Holiday season? Know a wine lover? Look no further then the #1 wine retailer on the web, Tasting Room. Tasting Room has a huge array of Wine imported from all across the globe to choose from including various gift packs.

Choose from a Wines by the Glass Sampler or the Perfect Holiday Wines Super Flight gift pack. For the Holiday Gift Guide I received the Patz and Hall Pisoni Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir Wines by the Glass gift pack and the Perfect Holiday Wines sampler pack. The Patz and Hall Pisoni Pinot Noir comes from the iconic vineyards of Monterey County, California. Each glass of this pinot noir is rich and dense with aromas of Chambord, fresh cream, cinnamon, clove, strawberries, and chocolate. Patz and Hall Pisoni Pinot Noir has an elegant quality that finishes off with a hint of smokey oak and elements of perfume and spice.

The Perfect Holiday Wines sampler pack came in a heavy duty modern black box with 6 sampler bottles of California wines from white to red. In the box you will find a description card of each wine with perfect food pairings. Schug '09 Chardonnay with highlights of tropical, citrus, pear, and applebutter; Ma(i)sonry '09 Marsanne (my favorite) with highlights of butterscotch, apple, melon, peach, and cantaloupe; Laetitia '10 Pinot Noir with highlights of raspberry, toast, earth, spice, and olallieberry; Easton '06 Zinfandel with highlights of blackberry, cream, spicebox, bramble, and cedar; Hanna '09 Cabernet Sauvignon with highlights of chocolate, rhubarb pie, boysenberry, tobacco, and plum; and Hess '08 "19 Block Cuvee" Red Blend with highlights of plum, black currant, caramel, and molasses were all included in the Perfect Holiday Wines sampler.

I love the Tasting Room's huge selection of gifts to match almost any person's taste in wine. Whenever I'm stuck with no gift ideas for a certain person I always end up giving them wine. The Tasting Room would be a perfect place to shop for scenarios like this one as well as for the wine lover themselves. The Tasting Room has many gifts at different price points as well as a Wine of the Month Club. Cross a couple people off that list when you shop with the Tasting Room!

  1. I am not a wine person at all. However, I do know quite a few people that do. I am not sure if I just have not found one that I like or maybe I just do not like any. I would definitely try it though.

Fall Apple Festival Giveaway

Have you heard the news? It's apple season here in the United States! If you are someone who loves apples and apple desserts, this is the time to pick fresh apples from your local orchard. If you live in Ohio, apples are priced higher this year from lack of supply due to weird weather. If you are a Pinterest addict like us, discounted apples (not in Ohio) also means you can try all the delicious apple recipes being pinned without spending a small fortune on apples!
To celebrate the start of the Apple Season, Budget Earth and Mew Review are having their own Fall Apple Festival and you are invited! All of your favorite blogs are pitching in to offer our readers some awesome apple themed prizes, like a Collector's Edition of Apples to Apples AND an Apple Scented Soy Candle! While we may not be able to give all of our readers free hayrides and homemade treats, we hope you do enjoy our small festival! To learn more about this family game, check out Mew Review's review of Apples…

Product Review for Pretzilla Pretzel Buns

So a couple of weeks ago my family and I decided to take a trip up to Whole Foods since we've never been to one and the only organic grocery store around here doesn't have a huge selection. We're walking through checking everything out and I came across these yummy looking soft pretzel buns. I have to say, the packaging is what really caught my eye but then I realized the buns didn't have salt on them so I was even more intrigued. We bought one package of the burger buns even though they were on sale 2 for $7. Two days later we decide to check them out. It wasn't until we had our sandwiches made that we realized they were moldy. We were completely bummed because this was something we've never tried before.

I went ahead and e-mailed the company Pretzilla to inform them of the mold, mind you it was the Saturday of memorial day weekend. I wasn't expecting a reply until at least Tuesday, but to my surprise, I was contacted back the following morning. The comp…

Rent College Textbooks and Save Up to 80%!

This is a "sponsored post." The company who sponsored it compensated me via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value.

I recently went back to college to work on my Bachelor of Science degree for Nutrition. It's been about 7 years since I've had to purchase college textbooks and let me tell you, the prices have gone up dramatically! I registered for a Sociology class but had to drop it because I couldn't afford the book which was $239! That's outrageous!  I understand that I could always sell the book back to the school at the end of the semester, but, you and I both know that the colleges only offer you a fraction of what you paid. Plus, there was no way I could afford that book on top of my $200 Statistics book, graphing calculator, and two other textbooks needed for classes.  I like to save as much money as possible, especially on things I'll only be using for a short time. This is exactly why I'm using Campusbookrentals.com for the other two …
