Find the Perfect Gift For Dad From The Body Shop

**I recieved this item for the purpose of a review. I was in no way compensated for my opinion as they are my own. Your opinion may vary from mine.**

The Body Shop has ALWAYS been one of my favorite places to shop for body sprays and home fragrance. I've always had a slight obsession with Satsuma and White Musk for the body and Exotic for the home but I've never really paid much attention to their men's products. Recently, my fiancĂ© had the opportunity to test out some of The Body Shop's men's products and he was quite pleased.
First my fiancĂ©, we'll just call him Ed through this, used The Body Shop's Maca Root Face Scrub. Ed works in a place where dirt just collects in his pores, it's gross to be honest, so recently we have been really trying to get his face cleaned up better. The Maca Root Face Scrub couldn't have come at a better time. He was really happy with the results but stated that it was weird using a product that felt so gritty. I had to explain to him that it was gritty because it's an exfoliant. He said aside from the grittiness, his face felt much cleaner than when he uses just bar soap.

Next, Ed gave The Body Shop's Maca Root Shave Cream a try. He loved the texture of it and said that he actually felt like he got a closer shave just from using something other than the norm. I think it would have been even smoother if he had a shaving brush but it still worked well.

Right after shaving, Ed tried out The Body's Shop's Maca Root Razor Relief. He loved it! Mind you, Ed has NEVER put anything on his face besides bar soap and shaving cream. He has never thought it was necessary until I told him how clean his face would feel. Ed said that The Body Shop's Maca Root Razor Relief had a cool feel to it and left his face feeling really soft and comfortable. In fact, he couldn't stop touching it (silly men).

The last thing he tried was The Body Shop's Maca Root Eye Serum which he also enjoyed. He was just getting ready to head to bed before I made him test all of his new goodies. Now he's up watching TV and playing with the dogs, if that tells you anything. The Eye Serum is meant to wake up and brighten sleepy eyes and reduce puffiness. I think I may have to start using this!

Ed was supposed to try out The Body Shop's Maca Root Deodorant but I just can't seem to get him to try anything but his Old Spice, so I had to do the dirty work for this one. I normally use Clinical Strength over-the-counter deodorant on a regular basis but when I used the Maca Root Deodorant, I didn't see much of a difference. It smelled great, went on clear, and lasted all day. No re-applying! We spend a lot of our time outdoors on days off and the Maca Root Deodorant withstood the gardening, yard work, house cleaning, and heat.
The Maca Root is Peruvian and is used to help energize and boost skin vitality. The Body Shop's Maca Root line for men really has a great clean scent and it does what it says it should, which I love. I think I may have finally convinced Ed that taking care of his skin will really help him feel a lot better and CLEANER! He may even understand my obsession with The Body Shop's products more now!
