Prevention Magazine chose fruition as "Best Bar" in their 2012 Healthy Food Awards. To determine the winners, Prevention editors went through over 500 submissions, narrowing them down to the final list with strict criteria, which included:
-       No more than 400 calories per (realistic) serving
-       Less than 500 mg of sodium per serving
-       No more than 10 g of added sugar
-       Significant amounts of fiber, protein, and essential vitamins
-       Free of genetically modified ingredients
-       And, for the first time this year, added non-GMO to the list.

Siobhan O’Connor, Deputy Editor, said, “Strolling down the aisles of your supermarket is often enough to make your head spin; so many boxes, so many claims, so many options. There are just endless options, and for time-conscious (and health-conscious) shoppers, it becomes overwhelming. That’s why readers love these awards; we know, like our readers, that many so-called packaged health foods are sugar and salt bombs in disguise. But amid those bad-for-you foods are some stellar ones, and we found the absolute best of them.”

All Fruition Bars by ProBar have at least one serving of fruit in them, 4 grams of fiber (everyone needs more fiber in their diets), are gluten free, and loaded with anitoxidents and omegas from Chia Seeds. Chia Seeds have the highest known whole food source of Omega-3
acids, which promotes cardiovascular and mental health has been used as a superfood by
Native Americans for centuries.

So you can see why I was inspired to try these new snack bars out, right? The first ProBar Fruition bar I tried was the Chocolate Orange. Chocolate Orange anything has me foaming at the mouth so I was definitely running for the box when it showed up. After opening my first bar I was kind of nervous by the look of the bar itself but after tasting it, the rest was history, literally! I devoured that Fruition bar in seconds; it was honestly Scrumdiddlyumptious! I even made my 9 year old niece try the strawberry bar out and she loved it! You and I both know that children are very picky about the food they like, so to even get her to try it was a miracle in its self. My Fiances favorite Fruition bar was the blueberry and my friend's was the Cran-Raspberry. My family and I definitely will be adding these to our regular diet since the Fruition ProBars were loved so much!

ProBar was kind enough to extend a special one-time discount to all my readers … just go to and enter the code “BLOGGER” at checkout to get 40% off your first order!

Fall Apple Festival Giveaway

Have you heard the news? It's apple season here in the United States! If you are someone who loves apples and apple desserts, this is the time to pick fresh apples from your local orchard. If you live in Ohio, apples are priced higher this year from lack of supply due to weird weather. If you are a Pinterest addict like us, discounted apples (not in Ohio) also means you can try all the delicious apple recipes being pinned without spending a small fortune on apples!
To celebrate the start of the Apple Season, Budget Earth and Mew Review are having their own Fall Apple Festival and you are invited! All of your favorite blogs are pitching in to offer our readers some awesome apple themed prizes, like a Collector's Edition of Apples to Apples AND an Apple Scented Soy Candle! While we may not be able to give all of our readers free hayrides and homemade treats, we hope you do enjoy our small festival! To learn more about this family game, check out Mew Review's review of Apples…

#HintingSeason with LG OLED at Best Buy

Thereviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.
#HintingSeason is upon us and if you're anything like me, only top-of-the-line electronics will do! The LG OLED TV at Best Buy is on the top of my wish list this year, but, LG's latest display technology is something you must see and experience to fathom the perfection of it's picture quality.
The LG OLED TV delivers the ultimate display with Infinite Contrast ratio that measures and exhibits only the most radiant whites and profound blacks while offering a more lifelike viewing experience. This is something that has only been seen in our dreams until recently! OLED self-lighting pixels are able to switch on and off individually, offering the first infinite contrast ratio. But, that's not all... By increasing the color range and clarity, LG's exclusive 4 Color Pixel technology provides the most illuminated, vivid colors. LG's 4 …

Rent College Textbooks and Save Up to 80%!

This is a "sponsored post." The company who sponsored it compensated me via a cash payment, gift, or something else of value.

I recently went back to college to work on my Bachelor of Science degree for Nutrition. It's been about 7 years since I've had to purchase college textbooks and let me tell you, the prices have gone up dramatically! I registered for a Sociology class but had to drop it because I couldn't afford the book which was $239! That's outrageous!  I understand that I could always sell the book back to the school at the end of the semester, but, you and I both know that the colleges only offer you a fraction of what you paid. Plus, there was no way I could afford that book on top of my $200 Statistics book, graphing calculator, and two other textbooks needed for classes.  I like to save as much money as possible, especially on things I'll only be using for a short time. This is exactly why I'm using for the other two …
