Spread the Holiday Cheer When You Shop Sears!

I couldn't wait to do this blog post for Sears and Smiley360! I am certainly a Christmas decor nut so this opportunity gave me the perfect chance to get out to Sears and shop for more holiday items. I actually found some inspiration for my Sears project on pinterest (of course) so when I went to Sears to shop, I already had an idea in my head of what I was looking for.
I asked my parents to come along because they love shopping as much as I do and they both love Sears. I immediately went to the holiday section with my step-mom to look for bows for my project but we both got sidetracked by this amazing smell! We seriously searched all over the holiday section until we found what the smell was coming from. It from was an end cap with paper bags of the best smelling potpourri I've ever smelled!

Next we headed on over to the section with the holiday bows and found the perfect bows for my Sears project (seen below). Both the bows are the same red glittery bows but they are splendid additions to this project! I had a fun time going through the Sears holiday section and found some pretty neat Christmas collectibles that I will be going back for. My parent's had a fun time shopping as well and we all racked up some nice rewards from the Shop Your Way Rewards program for our purchases.
If you'd like to try this project at home, listen up! It's extremely simple and my family and I had a blast doing it together. All you need is a tension bar or cheap curtain rod, some garland, fabric ribbon, a big bow, and bulb ornaments (and obviously scissors and glue or tape). All we did was measure out the windows so we knew what size bar we needed and taped the center of the bar so it wouldn't slide when we were working on it. We next wrapped the bar with garland and super glued it to both ends leaving about 4 inches bare on each end. Then we tied different lengths of the fabric ribbon to the bar about 4-5 inches apart. Next we slid the little bulbs towards the top of the ribbon, tied them on, then tied the bigger bulbs to the ends. We finished this project off by twisting the big bow on at the center of the bar and voila! The bow I bought from Sears really makes this project an eye-catcher!
Going to Sears has always been an adventure for me and Sears has honestly given me some great memories. When I was younger, my grandfather used to drag me to Sears every Sunday morning so he could shop for tools. Boring for a child like me but I still enjoyed spending time with my grandfather, although, occasionally I snuck off to play on the escalators. I remember one time, when I was about 4 or 5 years old, my grandparents were doing some holiday shopping and apparently I got bored so I snuck off to the escalators as usual. Only this time, I got stuck. I decided to climb the escalators up the wrong way but couldn't figure out how to get back down so I freaked. My grandfather came to my rescue quickly and we then proceeded to shop some more. Point being, I think there are loads of people out there that have some sort of memory from shopping at Sears when they were children. Sears has been around for a very long time and they will continue to be around so why not start some new memories with your children this Holiday season? Before you head out shopping at Sears this year, sign up for the Shop Your Way Rewards program so you can earn money off towards future purchases.

Check out the Sears Cheer Headquarters for Holiday decorating tips, inspiration, and great deals. When your done there you can head on over the the Sears Holiday Shop to shop for the perfect additions to your Holiday themes (I spent hours here before I went out shopping and found some great ideas for next year)! Enter the Holiday Home Makeover with Ty Pennington Sweepstakes, as well!

Herbal Essence Naked Volume Collection

**I received this item for the purpose of a review. I was in no way compensated for my opinion as they are my own. Your opinion may vary from mine.** Herbal Essence has a new collection out called the Naked Collection Volume. Obviously I was intrigued by this because naked to me means no crazy chemicals and my hair loves products like those. I used to have very thick and healthy hair but it has thinned out dramatically since I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease over 5 years ago. Nowadays, my hair is very picky about the products I use. I wouldn't say it's damaged, it actually looks and feels pretty healthy, but it goes flat and becomes greasy quick because of how thin it is. Because of the autoimmune disease I have, I like to watch what kind of chemicals my body comes in contact with. Anything is mess up the balance in a compromised immune system. Needless to say, I was excited to learn more about the Naked Volume Collection by Herbal Essence.  The naked Naked
