The Abbey Road Sessions by Kylie Minogue is a beautiful rendition of some of her most popular songs from her 25 year recording career. The Abbey Road Sessions takes 15 of her most familiar pop songs and remakes them into beautiful love ballads. Kylie's new album was recorded at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios with her own band and backed by a full orchestra. Flower is the only track on this album that is new and has not been redone. I absolutely love the song Flower because of it's heartfelt lyrics. Kylie wrote the song Flower many years ago during her battle with breast cancer and described it as a love song to the child she may or may not ever have. It's a beautiful song and very touching!
I honestly fell in love with The Abbey Road Sessions as soon as it started playing. The Abbey Road Sessions has a mix of different sounds including country, jazz, pop, and even some tracks that remind me of music from the 1950's; Kylie's voice especially. You can tell from the second track on the album called, On A Night Like This, that Kylie's voice has matured and blossomed. This is the type of music I like to listen to when I'm all alone relaxing in a bathtub with candles lit all around.
Kylie has been celebrating her 25th Anniversary in music since early 2012. Throughout her 25 years of being a pop star she has had 60 million global album sales, many hit singles, and global tours. My favorite song of Kylie's was
Can't Get You Out Of My Head and I love the newer version of it as well. Check out the music video of her new single
