M.O.M. (Mind Over Matter) are wonderful children's books that are written by Kasey Crawford Kellem, illustrated by Janet Hill, and published by Halo Publishing. M.O.M. books are meant to teach preschoolers to be buoyant, to believe in oneself, and to have faith that anything is possible, at least that's the way I see it. These books are there to be used as tools for parents to ensure that their children are properly prepared to face any of life's challenges, any adversity, and to overcome any and all obstacles. All of the Mind Over Matter books are also designed to be beautiful decorations in your child's room to constantly remind them of those very important resiliency values.
Mind Over Matter has 5 books in the collection with each one emphasizing on a different "value". Believe, Love, Laugh, Relax, and Dream are each meant to teach children how to be resilient. BELIEVE will teach a child to believe in their possibilities and that anything is possible. LOVE will show the children that they must love the people, animals, and experiences they come across in life. LAUGH at playful experiences, RELAX creatively, and DREAM pleasant thoughts will be the next installments of the series.
For review purposes, I received the Believe Mind Over Matter book and I can't say enough good things about it. My mission in life is to ensure that my daughter is raised to be a kind, loving, strong willed individual and I think this series will help her to become that. Believe teaches children to believe in their dreams, imagination, and that really anything is possible if only they believe. I love the message this book gives out and the illustrations are adorable. Each page in the book has a beautiful image to go along with that certain message of believing. One page says to "believe in happiness" and another says "believe you can hit a homerun".
I would personally recommend Believe and Mind Over Matter books to all parents that would want to teach their children personal and mental strength. I know that I would love to have the whole collection for my daughter one day because of the great values these books teach and the detailed illustrations that can hold her interest even more.
